The relationship between nonmedical use of prescription stimulants, executive functioning and academic outcomes

18.8% of the sample reported nonmedical use of prescription stimulants. Participants with EF deficits reported higher rates of NMUPS and lower GPAs, compared to those without EF deficits. The nonmedical use of prescription stimulants did not moderate the relationship between EF and GPA.
