Characterization of fluidized nanoparticle agglomerates by using adhesive CFD-DEM simulation

We use an adhesive CFD-DEM model to study fluidized nanoparticle agglomerates. Agglomerate properties as well as particle dispersion are investigated. Effects of particle density, cohesion, and fluidizing velocity are studied. The agglomerate breakage process is visualized and quantified. Agglomerate size, coordination, packing density and fractal dimension are obtained.
