Perovskite LaFeO3/SrTiO3 nanocomposites are prepared via a solution based strategy. The composites show enhanced photocatalytic activity for NO than bare counterparts. The improved activity is due to lattice-matched interface and built-in electric field. TPD analysis confirms the chemisorption of the composites for NO at room temperature. The direct hole transfer and O2− mediated pathway for NO oxidation is proposed.
