Children also completed two non-verbal working memory (WM) measures.

Monolinguals were more sensitive to errors than bilinguals on the GJ task.

Greater WM was associated with GJ performance only in bilinguals.

Nonverbal WM contributes to syntactic processing in children with lower language.
