Using shear deformable beams, vibration of magnetically affected CCNWs is studied.

The equations of motion are derived via surface elasticity theory of Gurtin–Murdoch.

A meshfree method is exploited for discretization of deformation fields.

Roles of surface effect and shear deformation on frequencies are fully examined.

The critical electric current, slenderness ratio, and NW's diameter are determined.
