A method for the analysis of 33 human and veterinary pharmaceuticals was developed. Pharmaceuticals belonging to NSAIDs/analgesics, antibiotics and psychiatric drugs were analysed. The developed SPE-UHPLC–MS/MS was used for the analysis of six aqueous matrices. Almost all pharmaceuticals were detected at least in one type of water. Pharmaceuticals were found in drinking water at levels up to 66 ng L−1.
