Solubilities of 1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid in binary solvents of (acetone + water) are measured. The solubilites exhibit maximums at acetone mole fraction around 0.6. The experimental data are correlated using the Apelblat and the Simplified Modified Wilson models. The solubility parameter of 1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid is determined.
