The physicochemical properties of soils affect their biological activity. The technogenic load affects the biological activity of soils. The IBI value was used for the assessment of emissions effect from power stations. The total technogenic pollution index was used for assessing the technogenic impact. A close correlation is revealed between the IBI and Zc values.
