This study conducted first ever shipboard measurement for Hg(p) over the Yellow Sea. High background Hg(p) concentration of 56.3 pg m−3 over the Yellow Sea region. Hg(p) levels imply significant impact of anthropogenic mercury sources from East Asia. The significant Hg wet and dry deposition fluxes were found at the Chinese urban site. Contrary to source regions, wet deposition flux is more important at downwind regions.
