The study is about the representation of recidivism linked with the capacity of getting involved in good quality romantic relationships. This capacity is considered as prosocial opportunity in the desistence process. The representative sample is composed of 507 adolescents, 382 boys and 125 girls of the prisons of British Columbia (Canada). The results show that adolescents involved, or able to get involved, in a good quality relationship with a romantic partner represent themselves as having less risk to commit another delinquent or criminal act in the future.
