FNA weakened EBPR and changed clade-level community structure of Accumulibacter.

Accumulibacter exhibited strong tolerance to FNA at low pH value.

At complete inhibition PHAs were degradated for nitrite reduction and detoxication.

Excessive aerobic duration resulted in complex-P decomposed and entered into EPS.

Under FNA inhibition biodiversity declined and IIC was the dominant Accumulibacter.
