A survey instrument to assess patient trust in a telemedicine service was developed and validated. The survey instrument yielded good to excellent quality measures. Trust in a telemedicine service was, for an Anticoagulation Web-Service, primarily explained by trust in the technology.. Trust in healthcare professionals and the treatment had a small effect on trust in an Anticoagulation Web-Service.
