Titanium speciation had important effects on sludge conditioning efficiency. Sludge flocs formed with TSC0.5 were larger and more resistant to break. Fe2O3 nanoparticles functioned as skeleton builders and further enhance floc strength. Particles aggregation and regrowth were improved with addition of nano-Fe2O3.
