Propose a novel synthetic index-based adaptive stochastic resonance method. Synthetic index are constructed from six different indexes using BPNN. Genetic algorithm is used to quickly select the optimal parameters. Proposed method can adaptively enhance weak bearing signal for fault diagnosis. Method effectiveness and efficiency for bearing fault diagnosis are verified.
