Das SPECT-CT (Single photon emission computed tomography – computed tomography) stellt eine neue dreidimensionale Hybridmethode zur kombinierten Darstellung von Morphologie (CT) und Biologie (SPECT – 3D Szintigraphie) dar. In diesem Übersichtsartikel werden Vor- und Nachteile des SPECT-CT diskutiert und anhand von Fallbeispielen illustriert.

Summary

The SPECT-CT (Single photon emission computed tomography – computed tomography) is a new three dimensional imaging modality that combines morphologic information (CT scan) and biologic information (SPECT – 3D scintigraphic bone scan). In this review article, pros and cons of the SPECT-CT are discussed and illustrated by several cases.
