Fabrication and characterization of novel macroporous Jeffamine/diamino hexane cryogels for enhanced Cu(II) metal uptake: Optimization, isotherms, kinetics and thermodynamic studies

Cryogels of Jeffamine/diamino hexane have been synthesized and optimized. Reductive amination performed to enhance the functional groups of cryogels. Cu(II) ion adsorption was studied and optimized via response surface modeling. Cryogels were characterized by FTIR, 13C NMR, SEM-EDX and compression analyses. Reusability studies were conducted and proved efficient for four adsorption cycles.
