NiW catalysts were synthesized on HMS-Ti, SBA-15 and MCM-41 modified by gallium. Catalytic activity was tested in the hydrodesulfurization of the dibenzothiophene. The well-dispersed Ga affected selectivity and activity of the reaction. NiW/MCM-41/Ga1.5 reached the highest dibenzothiophene conversion (69%). Comparing to WS2/Ga1.5, NiW/MCM-41/Ga1.5 resulted more promising for the reaction.
