New method for sensitive lipid imaging in rat kidney tissue slices. Matrix deposition and type optimized for positive and negative ion imaging. Excellent quality images with substructure resolution and high reproducibility. Renal lipid distribution was found to be altered under cisplatin treatment. Potential alternative method for cisplatin-nephrotoxicity assessment.
