Lactotripeptides IPP and VPP were tested on vascular smooth muscle cells (VSMCs). VPP had anti-proliferative, anti-inflammatory and anti-oxidant actions on VSMC. VPP could potentially prevent vascular inflammation and remodeling in hypertension.
