Film cooling effectiveness was insensitive to dimpled-surface geometry. Nusselt number was much more sensitive to dimpled-surface geometry. Overall film cooling performance was the highest for 30 deg in-line arrangement. PTV results confirmed suppression of flow separation for 30 deg in-line arrangement.
