The variation of pressure distribution and mass flow rate of Roots pump was measured. Two kinds of 3D CFD cases were established to simulate the flows in Roots pumps. The case with narrower pipes agree better with the experiment results. A 2D model was established to determine whether this simpler model had enough precision.
