Development of a rapid diagnostic test for animal African trypanosomosis. Combined used of TcoCB1 and TvGm6 antigen to detect Trypanosoma congolense and T. vivax infections. Specificity of 95.9% and sensitivity of 92.0% against T. congolense and 98.2% against T. vivax. No cross-reactivity observed with T. b. brucei, T. evansi, or T. theileri. Similar results obtained with blood samples as with reference sera.
