Synthesis, thermal behavior, and energetic properties of diuronium 1H,1′H-5,5′-bistetrazole-1,1′-diolate salt

A new energetic salt called DUBTO was synthesized successfully and fully characterized. The non-isothermal kinetic analysis indicated that the Arrhenius equation of the main exothermic process can be expressed as follows: lnk=46.85–218.485×103/RT. This salt shows excellent impact sensitivities of >40 J and promising detonation velocity and detonation pressure calculated as 8267 m s−1 and 29.15 GPa, respectively.
