A novel extractant impregnated Amberlite XAD-4 with isonitroso-4-methyl-2-pentanone. U6 + is quantitatively determined from complex and synthetic samples with RSD 1.3%. The developed impregnated sorbent shows excellent stability and 98.9% recovery. The impregnated resin sorbent has relatively very simple preparation routes. Detailed mechanism of U6 + sorption by extractant impregnated resin EIR is explained.
