Spike-ripple events, in which fast oscillations co-occur with voltage discharges, can be detected automatically in the scalp EEG. A combination of multiple quantitative features makes detection of spike-ripple events accurate. Rapid, quantitative identification of spike-ripple activity supports clinical application in epilepsy.
