A bioinformatics program, VirusDetect, for virus discovery using sRNA sequences was developed. VirusDetect performs both reference-guided and de novo assemblies of sRNA sequences. VirusDetect performs homology search for known and novel virus identification. VirusDetect evaluates sRNA size profiles for potential novel virus identification.
