Mark-recapture with spray paint is an easy method to estimate Bullia movement. Most plough snails maintained their alongshore position on the beach. On average, Bullia rhodostoma can move 100 m alongshore per day. Movement is driven primarily by extrinsic factors; secondarily by intrinsic factors. Cumulative alongshore movement is greater on spring tides than on neap tides.
