Giant magnetostrictive rod's elongation can be converted into shorting length of the actuator using a novel output rod.

Equivalent circuit with parallel resistance is effective in predicting actuator's impedance and transient-state response.

Inputting high-voltage to increase displacement and maintaining low-voltage can promote responding speed of the actuator.

Duration time of high-voltage in designed voltage waveform is better to be set as short as possible to reduce fluctuation.
