Emulsion encapsulation of isoeugenol enhanced the antibacterial efficacy in media. Isoeugenol had similar efficacy against biofilms and planktonic bacteria. Chitosan-coating of emulsions resulted in disruption of biofilm structure. Tween 80 hampered the antibacterial efficacy of isoeugenol.
