DME production by CO2 hydrogenation: Key factors affecting the behaviour of CuZnZr/ferrierite catalysts

The direct CO2-to-DME hydrogenation was performed on CuZnZr/ferrierite hybrid systems. The bidimensional lamellar structure of ferrierite was used as metal-oxide carriers. The active sites distribution significantly affects the performance of the catalysts. The particle size controls both CO2 conversion and CO formation rates. An optimum acidity level enhances the rate of DME production.
