Experimental investigation on the effects of compression ratio on in-cylinder combustion process and performance improvement of liquefied methane engine
A novel approach for improving natural gas engine performance was proposed. The effects of compression ratio on combustion and performance of LME were revealed. The BSFC of LME can be reduced by 10.9% at most compared with LNG engine. The compression ratio of LME can be increased to 15.6 or so without obvious knocking.
