Role of clustering on nanofluid heat conduction is determined using a novel approach. Dominant mechanism in heat conduction was distinguished using image processing. Brownian motion has an insignificant influence on thermal conductivity. Clustering is more significant than Brownian motion in heat conduction of nanofluid.
