Comparative investigation of NOx emission characteristics from a Euro 6-compliant diesel passenger car over the NEDC and WLTC at various ambient temperatures
This study focused on the NOx emission characteristics from a Euro 6 diesel vehicle equipped with LNT. Vehicle tests were performed over the NEDC and WLTC at various ambient temperatures. Real-time NOx conversion behaviors were quantitatively compared with NOx sensors through the LNT. More LNT regeneration events of 2.5 times were observed in the WLTC than NEDC mode. The change from normal temperature to sub-zero temperature had a large impact on NOx emissions.
