Thermo-hydraulic performance of shell-and-double concentric tube heat exchanger is analyzed.
Effects of inner tube diameters used in shell-and-double concentric tube (SDCTHEX) are analyzed.
Overall heat transfer rate per overall pressure drop of SDCTHEX is 343% higher than that of STHEX.
The total friction power expenditure of SDCTHEX is reduced by 85.5% as compared to that for STHEX.
It is found that the SDCTHEX has a higher heat transfer performance and a lower pressure drop.
