Isothermal amplification methods for nucleic acids detection are discussed. This review article focusses on integration of isothermal amplification methods in microfluidic devices. The recent advances in the application of isothermal microfluidic devices are reviewed. The factors which limit the performance of isothermal microfluidic devices and future directions are also identified.
