ADC values of an enzymatically processed soybean meal (ESBM) and of a commodity soybean meal (SBM) were determined in advanced juvenile red drum. In Trial I, the maximum replacement of fishmeal (FM) digestible protein (DP) by ESBM (MAX REPLESBM) was estimated by using regression analyses. In Trial II, ESBM or SBM replaced 70% of FM DP (MAX REPLESBM) without detrimental effects on red drum performance. Our results indicated that up to 70% of FM DP in the diet of early juvenile red drum can be derived from ESBM or SBM.
