First NMR based solution structure of 2:1 coralyne-[d(TTGGGGT)]4 complex. Coralyne stacks at T2pG3/A3pG4 and G6pT7 steps in [d(TTGGGGT)]4/ [d(TTAGGGT)]4. Binding leads to thermal stabilization of [d(TTGGGGT)]4/[d(TTAGGGT)]4 by 25–35 °C. Coralyne induces switch in anti-parallel 22-mer G-quadruplex DNA to parallel form. Induced negative CD band observed at 300–315 nm in 7-mer G-quadruplex DNA.
