Rheology of viscoelastic gels studied experimentally and theoretically. Fractional calculus, an appropriate tool for rheology of viscoelastic gels. Viscoelastic gels neither solid-like nor fluid-like for all rheological properties. Limitations of techniques using fractional derivatives discussed.
