Graphene/Cu2O electrode was fabricated for the electrochemical reduction of CO2. Very low material loading of graphene/Cu2O (0.1 mg) resulted in significant conversion of CO2 to ethanol. The Faradaic efficiency for ethanol was 9.93% at − 0.9 V vs. Ag/AgCl.
