Short-term spring low severity grassland fire impacts on soil properties were analysed. Fire impacts were mainly observed in the first two months. Fire increased soil EC of Ca, Mg and K, did not change Na, Fe and Zn and reduced Al and Mn. Fire did not affect SPAR, decreased Ca:Mg ratio, and increased Ca:Al ratio immediately after the fire. This grassland ecosystem is resilient to low severity spring fires.
