文摘

Ecotypic differences do exist among switchgrass ecotypes for important compositional traits i.e. fiber, nitrogen, ash etc.

Dry matter produced by lowland ecotypes had higher cellulose and hemicellulose contents and lower N and ash contents than upland ecotypes.

Dry matter produced by upland ecotypes contained higher lignin contents.

This study also provides useful information about the harvest management of locally grown switchgrass varieties
