An α-galactosidase was highly purified from Pleurotus djamor fruiting bodies. It displayed broad pH stability. It exhibited remarkable resistance to protease. It could efficiently hydrolyze RFOs. It was strongly inhibited by K+, Cd2+, Cu2+, Hg2+, Al3+, Fe3+ and Ag + ions.
