Flonicamid 50 WG at 75 g a.i. ha−1 was effective in controlling leafhopper and whitefly in okra. No phytotoxic symptoms and toxic effects were observed to the natural enemies including spiders and rove beetles. Residues dissipated with half-lives of 3.0 and 3.5 days for the doses of 75 and 150 g a.i. ha−1 respectively. Pre-harvest intervals were 16 and 20 days when flonicamid was applied at 75 and 150 g a.i. ha−1 respectively. Dietary exposures of residues at both the doses of flonicamid did not pose any acute toxicity risks.
