Investigating the effects of number and distribution of GNP layers on graphene reinforced polymer properties: Physical, numerical and micromechanical methods
Tensile and compressive properties of GNP nanocomposites are determined experimentally. The effects of number of GNP layers and GNP orientation are investigated, numerically. Numerical models based on random distribution of GNPs are analyzed. A Halpin-Tsai micromechanical method is used to obtain nonlinear tensile behavior of nanocomposites.
