A novel method to fabricate screen-printed electrodes for amperometric detection in ME is demonstrated. No sophisticated equipment neither complex procedures are required. The fabrication process is quite simple and the materials used are inexpensive. The electrodes fabricated exhibited satisfactory lifetime over low fabrication cost. The analytical performance of the electrode was successfully demonstrated by coupling it to PDMS devices for determination of nitrite in drinking water.
