Freestanding and binder free PVdF-HFP/Ni-Co nanofiber membrane as a versatile platform for the electrocatalytic oxidation and non-enzymatic detection of urea
Nanofiber membranes were used as free standing electrodes in urea oxidation. Higher oxidation states of metal nanostructures were achieved in alkaline medium. Active metal sites involved urea electrooxidation mechanism is detailed. PVdF-HFP/Ni-Co exhibited high sensitivity toward urea electrooxidation. Real sample analysis was achieved with the fabricated sensors.
