We examined the effect of non-ionic surfactants on sH hydrate formation. Substantial increase in methane uptake in presence of suitable surfactants is observed. NPE6EO and TritonX100 demonstrated more significant promotion effects. Combination of MCH+TBME system is newly suggested and proved to be the most favorable system.
