Energy and emergy analyzes of farm biogas plant are indicative of problems noted in this sector. Simulations taking into account the required improvements show their appropriateness. Emergy analysis provides the interest to evaluate the evolution in time of complex systems. Entropy generation decreases after improving efficiency and sustainability.
