Lipid contents & relative compositions are remarkably different between growth stages. Reactivities of lipid compounds from different growth stages vary during degradation. δ13C values of lipids vary differently among compound classes during degradation. Shifts of δ13C values are larger during the degradation of exponential growth cells.
