Euphorbia milii-epiphyte interactions could not provide enough IAA to protect against formaldehyde. E. milii-endophyte interactions provided enough IAA to protect against formaldehyde. Higher levels of IAA lowered ROS, ethylene and maintained shoot epiphytic community. Tryptophan acts as a signaling molecule in E. milii-bacteria interactions under stress.
